Endings

I say a lot that I hate happy endings.

When I say this I mean endings in stories. In stories there are happy endings and sad endings, and also sometimes just endings.

I sound a little evil when I say this.
But I mean this with stories. Not that I hate them in real life. I would love them, especially for myself! but in real life I think
there are no happy endings, or sad endings.
There are just endings
and that what you make of them is something

separate altogether.

But is just as important, if not more.
Did I say endings enough?

Hold on, you could say that about anything.
Shut up Johnathan.

It was almost a thought.

(writings by Kait Forest

they are simple
they confuse me

they show ugly things in a beautiful way
they are unusual
they are frank

some of many reasons why I find them truly brillant)

I'm alone

when it is gone

god's
got a thing

for women in white dresses,

legs broken and
twisted

like the knot
of a dead man's
noose

you are the thin sliver of thought
that graces my thighs as i
undress for him

the arch of my back in
staccato rhythm does
not rise you from the
earth,

you are still dead
and my dance is as
heavy as the earth i
bruise

i am sorry that the only
weight i carry for you is the
pnumonic ache in my bones

even though
your body has become the

was, the

boys still don't
notice
unless you're bent over their bed frame

calling them god.

Allow Me to Introduce Myself

Hey, I'm Danny Brown and I'm here to throw a little Movie, T.V. and general Media spice into this blog, as well as collaborate with Johnny. So what is there to say about myself? Well I'm a Media Studies and Production student, currently in 2nd year, at the University of Ulster Coleraine. I'm also an amatuer actor and director, I also dabble in writing. Tea and the Muppets are also a major part of my life. So without any further ado, I am here to inform, entertain and inspire.

Your world

So I was looking about the internet there and I found some nice sites.

The first one is interesting www.ashleymadison.com,
check it out.
Its like eharmony, you know that one, I don't like it much, but this ashley one is the same but for married people, you know?. And the slogan is great

"Life is short. Have an affair"

I researched it a little. And I can say it gets... roughly 1,800,000 unique visitors per month...
I was going to rant about how bad it is and that
but I learned that its already well known for the that and that is why its successful and that it got that way because it's so controversial. People love to hate it.

Not going say the obvious. I will say that its there and thats the point I guess
but why it does well is the interesting thing and like its not your first thought. We do like to say the easy answer.

Another site.
This one was hilarious. www.buysocialfame.com

Where you can buy your credibility and influence on facebook, youtube, twitter and all them good things.. That gets you thinking huh. Who's done it? Bought 10 trillion likes for their new brand.
Fame and following on the internet is so meaningful.

(No I love my 325 watchers on Deviant Art, mainly because I bought them with love!.)

The weird thing is though, is that those websites aren't jokes, there geniune well established sites like.
Up to us what we think of it but the point is thats your world you are in mannn,
one where most of our lives are, and ever more so virtualised
and thats as good as it is,
but also you know, as bad as it is. (sigh..)

Did I ever tell you the definition of culture jamming?

Heres something to restore your faith in the human race so we all don't kill ourselves.

Lets be culture jammers.

My teacher Charles Tait at Teeside got me into thinking about this. Charles introduced me to Adbusters during a project we did in our first year and its good shit.

"We are a global network of artists, writers, and cultural dissidents who have joined forces to change the world. We want to change the way information flows, the way corporations wield power and the way meaning is produced in society."

At the time, it seemed to me like some 'student-y' ideology , I want to take down Coca-Cola and save the rain forest crap, and...
it is,
but its actually something the more I think about, the more I care about these things, its better than doing nothing either way. Plus I love to argue.

Still haven't told you what a Culture jammer is and does exactly.

BRAINs!

I had a talk with Danny today (after we climbed a church) and I realised that I need another brain. (And not just because the one I have don't work)

Everyone that knows me well would know that I talk to myself a lot, and much of the time I would write down the gist of these conversations in notebooks like this.

So I've found, that as far as that has got me so far, and as interesting as that may be, there actually is a point, where that becomes unproductive.

And I've learned recently, mostly in work that one in a vacuum will die by itself. That dialogue, sharing, mixing, remixing swapping, reflecting, colliding and cross pollinating minds whatever you want to call it, it's the key to progression.

Of course, I do this as much as I can already but I want to do this now on a real scale. I want to start a little group. Starting with two. So I'm adding a contributor danny. And hey, if your interested too, contact me at

The definition of Insanity

Did i ever tell you the definition of insanity?

... So I look around one day and i see everybody doing the same thing, everyday, doing the same fucking thing, expecting, that if they do it again, one day, their lives will change. That, that is insanity...
Did I ever I ever tell you, the definition of insanity?...

Marc Johnston

Congrats to Johnston today, the New Zealand Artist won a DailyDeviation on Deviant-art, some are pure naff but this guy deserved it. I love this guy's style and I really love this one.

It's a difficult to be that impressionistic and at the same time have that control of space, form and overall function. And the colours. everythings so balanced.

clay sesh'

Me and the team at work. Some days, we get good days and we get to make a mess, clay!..
I got a job from my grandfather to produce a book cover for his new book.
Involving hands creating a new (green) world out of yes, clay!

danny's new mohawk.

hahahaha hah aha what is that?

It was like that scene know, out of Ghost with Patrick Swayze and demi moore,
you know i had to be behind taking the picture and guiding the hands, it was quite intimate.

Here's a preview so far, it is what it is. Its getting published next month, can't wait to see it.

It is what it is.
