"Photographer Jaime Moore was looking for inspirational ideas to celebrate her daughter Emma’s 5th birthday, and ended up photographing her beautiful girl posing as some of the most influential women in history. Jaime chose 5 women for Emma to impersonate, and thus her daughter became the mini version of Coco Chanel, Susan B. Anthony, Amelia Earhart, Helen Keller and Jane Goodall."

I'm here, you're here.

Happy birthday 'I do listen!'
Today is the year anniversary of the blog,
a year ago, today I made the very first post.
Hey hey.

Because it's a special occasion I've posted a prototype thing I'm working on,
it's not finished but I'll let you see it.

It's not for uni or work or anything, its just for me. Did it in the studio at Uni and it was just
shot on the webcam on my laptop with the mirror effect on and thats just my t-shirt and my hands.

Turner Prize Family workshop

Deadlines, deadlines everywhere.

Life as a designer student... so much work to do before the 17th.
Why can't I just be in Malta now? I cannot wait.

Box

"Box explores the synthesis of real and digital space through projection-mapping on moving surfaces.
The short film documents a live performance, captured entirely in camera.

Bot & Dolly produced this work to serve as both an artistic statement and technical demonstration. It is the culmination of multiple technologies, including large scale robotics, projection mapping, and software engineering. We believe this methodology has tremendous potential to radically transform theatrical presentations, and define new genres of expression."

Evolution!

Tyler Rhodes, Patrick Henry School of Science and Art

"It's a collaborative animation in which I took 5 groups of people and simulated evolution with them in the course of an hour and from those groups I amassed about 460 drawings, which I then animated here"

Art Department Photographs

At the minute,
I'm using these photos in a project. I'm curating them and making a photo book from them. My art teacher, Claire Mulvenna gave me this pile of photographs when I was in my last year of high school.

Really, she was going to throw them out, but I adored them. Ms Mulvenna told me they're from when she started teaching which is when the art department began more or less because the school is young. Roughly twenty years I think. None of them have names or titles, which is mad, some of them are really beautiful. I should ask sometime to see if she remembers but it's nice not knowing. Masterpieces by mystery artists.

Metaphors

We didn't have metaphors in my day.We didn't beat about the bush.
Fred (Frederick Sewards) Trueman   Quoted in the SundayTimes, 22 Dec.

Martin Boyle

Seen Martin Boyle giving a talk at the
Ulster museum today.

Studied in Limerick and did his masters in Belfast.

Quickly became one of my favourite artists here.
Really intelligent and seemed quite down to earth.
Loved his work and ideas.
